The Safe Zone Foundation provides educational opportunities to increase public awareness regarding LGBT issues. Among these opportunities are seminars, workshops and forums on topics including HIV/AIDS, equal rights awareness and political reform, as well as diversity training and acceptance education. The foundation also promotes creative expression and education through the arts, and encourages members to participate in community service projects serving Marshfield and the Central Wisconsin area.

Members of the LGBT community are encouraged to be visible, active leaders in the Marshfield community. The goal of the community education and public awareness campaign is to decrease discrimination, intolerance and homophobia by dispelling the common myths of homosexuality and promoting the often overlooked, positive elements of the LGBT community and its members.
