Interested in a support group?  Currently, there are no groups meeting on a regular basis, but that doesn't mean we can't start one!  Please contact us if you have a need or if you have any suggestions or ideas for support groups.

Here are some possibilities.  Let us know if you are interested in any of the following groups:

SOCIAL CLUB
Participate in (and also help plan) social events including dinners, movie nights, mixers, holiday parties, outings, and more!  Meet, mix and mingle!

"LIFE IN THE CLOSET" SUPPORT GROUP
Meet other lgbt community members who live their lives "in the closet" either by choice or neccesity.  Combat those feelings of lonliness and isolation, meet new friends, share expereinces and advice.  It's ok to stay in the closet....  but you don't have to do it alone!

LESBIAN SUPPORT GROUP
A great group for great women.

TRANSGENDER SUPPORT GROUP
Meet to socialize and discuss issues concerning the transgender community.

BISEXUAL SUPPORT GROUP
Meet to socialize and discuss issues concerning the bisexual community.

MARRIED SUPPORT GROUP
Are you married, but now realize you are gay or bisexual?  Are you struggling with telling your spouse?... or maybe you already have and you want to meet others like you?

COMING OUT CLUB
Do you feel you are ready to come out to the world?...or maybe to your family or just to a few close friends?  Need some advice?  Want to talk with others who have "been there and done that" or maybe talk with others who are thinking about coming out?  We're here to help and support you!

FOOD FOR BODY AND SOUL
Meet for dinner and fellowship and discuss issues of spirituality and religion.  Contrary to what Fred Phelps says, God does not hate fags!  Activities include discussions, guest speakers, bible study, and attending a variety of church services in the community.

YOUTH GROUP
Individual counseling and youth groups are divided in two sections:  under 18, and 18-24.  Youth support groups assist self-identifying gay, lesbian, bisexual and questioning youth, and provide them a safe place to ask questions, express themselves, to know they are not alone, and to interact with others who have already accepted their sexuality.

PFLAG
This group is for parents, families, friends, supporters and allies of the lgbt community.  PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights. Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
Perhpas you are looking for some individual counseling, talking with someone one-on-one about a personal issue or crisis.  Trained volunteers and professionals are available, offering services free of charge.  We can also help refer you to other resources.

MAYBE YOU HAVE IT ALL TOGETHER?
Maybe you have all the answers?  Maybe you don't need a support group.  If that's the case, consider being a mentor and positive role model for others.  Come share your expereinces, help a friend in need, or just offer an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on.  If you are interested in helping with a support group, send an e-mail and let us know.
